Why Read, Play, Talk

The first three years of life is crucial for a child's development, since that is when the brain is developing the most rapidly. Parents and caregivers can support healthy brain development in their child by simply reading, playing, and talking with them every day starting at birth. Although it may not seem like these three acts are impacting your child during these early stages, your child is gaining new life experiences, being introduced to a variety of vocabulary words, as well as establishing an emotional connecting with you as their caregiver.
