Read Play Talk Festival
This yearly fall festival is held annually on Halloween weekend at Town East Mall. Local businesses and organizations provided through the Mesquite Chamber of Commerce will offer interactive activities, while the CTE Showcase will introduce over 25 Career & Technical Education programs offered within Mesquite ISD. Families can also enjoy bounce houses by purchasing a $5 wristband for their children. This festival is designed to encourage parents and caregivers to read, play, and talk with their children every day while creating lasting memories. It's a fun event that the whole family will enjoy!
Read Play Talk Fair
The Read Play Talk Fair is a free event for businesses to participate in and for families to attend. Local businesses and organizations line the halls of Mesquite High School and provide games, activities, and crafts for families to give them ideas on how to read, play, and talk together at home. Several Mesquite ISD departments are represented at the event, including KEOM, preK enrollment, fine arts, athletics, and more. Don't forget to stop by the Scholastic Book Fair to select your child's next read!
This year's event will be held on Saturday, March 29 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm at Mesquite High School.
See you there!
Read Play Talk Pop-Ups
The Read Play Talk Bus makes stops throughout the year at public libraries, parks, and other family friendly locations. Families who attend these events will get to experience the Read Play Talk Bus, receive free books and resources for their children, and learn about programs that are offered through Read Play Talk as well as our other community partners. Read Play Talk wants to remind families of the importance of reading, playing, and talking all year long!
